Position: System Analyst Programmer
Compensation: Salary Commensurate with Skill Level and Experience
We have an immediate need for a Mid-to-Senior-level Systems Analyst Programmer to join one of our Agile development teams for a long-term program. Job duties involve customer engagement, gathering functional and non-functional requirements, normalizing and performance tuning system databases, evaluating system design and efficiency of application code, debug and resolve system errors, assessing the data model and database performance, and other duties as assigned. A strong customer service ethic is a must.
The work location is in our office in Annandale, VA (however, we are currently maintaining 3/4 telework schedules due to COVID-19), with monthly visits to the customer site (In Alexandria and Crystal City).
U.S. Citizenship is a firm requirement; a current SECRET clearance is required.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Experience with the following
- Financial systems and financial data
- Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Data modeling tools
- Writing technical documentation, user guides, user training materials
- Teamwork on fast-paced development teams
Additional Optional Experience:
- Able to configure application servers and Windows Server infrastructure for application speed and efficiency.
- Ability to resolve deployment issues by interfacing with the IT infrastructure team
- Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Agile software development
Education: Successful candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or related discipline. Position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience with application development and databases.
Other Requirements: Due to the nature of some contracts, U.S. Citizenship is required. A background investigation or security clearance is required.
